I was born in the summer of 1968 at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico, USA. However, I am not a New Mexico native since, five months later, my father returned to inactive duty (after being called up by the Air Force Reserve during the Pueblo Incident) and we returned to Upstate (why the Southern Tier of New York State is considered "upstate" will always be a mystery to me since Pennsylvania is a scant ten miles to the south) New York, which I consider my original home.

Specifically, I grew up in Endwell. You probably don't know where that is. Endwell is a section of the Town of Union in Broome County. The closest big city is Binghamton, a few miles to the east. The whole area is generally referred to as the Triple Cities, with Endicott and Johnson City being the other two in the trio. The Triple Cities is generally known for being the original home of IBM, Endicott Johnson Shoes, the B.C. Open golf tournament, Binghamton University, and Spiediefest & Balloon Rally.

After surviving primary and secondary education, I migrated to Potsdam, at the northern end of the state, where I attended Clarkson University, majoring in extracurricular activities, with a minor in Chemical Engineering.

During my four years at Clarkson, I was heavily involved in the Knight humor magazine, WCKN television and WTSC radio. I also wrote music reviews for The Integrator (the school newspaper), worked on The Looking Glass (a literary magazine) and crashed the Theatre Club's cast parties.

I even managed to graduate on time.

Nowadays, after working for ten years for an evil corporation who shall remain nameless, I am currently and happily unemployed in New Haven, Connecticut with a Meredith, a cat named Puck, a cat named Tam Lin, a Dell Inspiron named natashya, a DellDimension named hagia, a Gateway Pentium box named sophia, an ancient Amiga 500 named Mr. Amiga, a never-to-be-assembled and still nameless 386, a million compact discs, half-a-million books and a severe lack of space.
