A Charlottetown woman died after the crash on the Trans-Canada Highway in St. Leonard, N.B.

Police said a vehicle that was parked on the paved shoulder of the westbound lane was hit by another westbound vehicle.

Shaye Reno, 26, was taken to hospital in Edmundston, N.B., and was later transferred to Saint John, N.B., where she died that evening.

A male passenger in Reno's vehicle and the male driver of the other vehicle only suffered minor injuries.
