So how are you all! I'm sorry I haven't been in touch. All keeping well and busy I hope, listening to lots of lovely music and things. In my absence, I have been organizing myself a home studio. Nothing too fancy, just a wee set up to keep me reminded that I have a job to do, (one that I love also of course). It's great having it here, but it's expensive to have around because now I want to buy lots of weird and wonderful instruments to record. I had my eye on a Chinese Zither I found in Portabello Rd the other day, that was looking rather attractive. Even my Cello comes out of it's case occasionally for simple parts. So mostly I am making music, performing a few small shows around my home town of London and also writing with various people to keep me from being a hermit. One of these people is Mr. Mich Gerber of Switzerland who invited me to sing on his latest album. By means of Fed-Ex, we conversed musically until he decided it was time I went over there in person. Bern is so beautiful. It must have the fastest flowing river that I've seen in a town. You can really feel the energy off of it, and the song of the river can be heard everywhere you go. How poetic. So I was there for only four or five days in their studio on the hill and at the end we really felt we'd made something we both love. We wrote three songs altogether, and I'm hoping in return he'll come and play his double bass on my album. He really is fantastic. I should be touring with him and his band over the summer festival period in Europe. Infact if you're interested one of our songs, 'Mare', is in the shops in Switzerland, if that's any help to anyone. Another will be out in March, which is the one I like the most called 'Homie'. I'll be in Bern filming the video in Febuary which should be fun. If anyone is reading this letter in England, I will be playing 'Upstairs at the Garage' in Highbury, London, on the 9th Feb. Small, acoustic set with various other artists also performing. I'll be on stage at 10p.m. but try and get there a bit earlier to see the supports, you might see someone really good, never know! Well that's about it in a nutshell. I'll write again with more news soon!! All my love immi xxx - - Dustin Shelby ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Jan 2000 14:34:45 EST From: WmonWwings@aol.com Subject: Re: [Imogen] Letter From Imogen That is so amazing that she is so loyal to her fans......she is such a beautiful person :) Sharlann ------------------------------ End of wireless-digest V3 #5 ****************************
