I was in the car in Sacramento listening to 100.5 The Zone, and they had been promoting an Imogen Heap show they were putting on. At the time I had been confusing her and Shonen Knife (who annoy me) so I didn't pay any attention. Then they played "Come Here Boy" and I was absolutely spellbound. > >> (5) What other musicians do you listen to? Way, way too long to list. "Candlelight" is the song I will sing in the middle of Golden Gate Park when I move to San Francisco. "Shine" is one of my many "life theme songs". "Come Here Boy" is my "love song" (along with "Hell Yeah" by Ani Difranco... oh, and "sin so well" by Rebekah... I have a website at http://fly.to/nickhaswings . I think that Rufus Wainright is very pretty but I haven't heard much by him, other than "April Fools" (which I really like). I was given the CD by a friend of mine, who is known as 'Jill :D' She buys CDs in massive quantities, and it took me only a few months to give in to the notion that "well, if Jill can do it, then so can I" :) Anyways. I listened once and have loved it ever since. (It would be I Megaphone, since I have not seen any singles anywhere in my journeys) > (5) What other musicians do you listen to? I am a recovering Sarah McLachlan addict. I've been in and out of area hospitals dealing with my addiction, but have not seemed to be able to kick the habit. I'm appalled at myself. I have to say that seeing them in concert last fall was the best live experience I've ever had in my life. *So* much fun and excitement crammed into one concert. (Please note that I have not seen Imogen live yet;). The concert was even better than the Sarah concerts I've been to (aside from the Lilith Fairs, which were just *way* too much fun to even list as favorite individual concerts). So my question to you all is, What's the best concert you've seen to date? (And don't everybody say Immy's either, because as I mentioned above, I haven't seen her yet, and just reading all your revues was hard enough!) Oh oh oh, how incredible was that show? I must have lost like 10 pounds from jumping around and screaming...the 2nd row seats weren't bad either:-) If only those silly girls weren't in front of us... >(Please note that I have not seen Imogen live yet;). I second that motion. All except for the not seeing Imogen yet..I saw her, watched her walk out of the bathroom (kicked myself for not going when I *really* had to, no instead I hold it in and miss her in there!) *and* stole one of the promo posters... > > Who can tell Denise has already washed her hair? ;) All pretty:-) > P+L=:) Fumble memories perhaps? *Hugs* Shannon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Apr 1999 22:51:58 -0500 From: Dennis Sneed Subject: Re: [Imogen] Re: urban species email Does anyone have an idea when the next Imogen album is going to come out??
