So I had some friends over tonight, and we drank a little, then I put on Imogen, and I screamed my little heart out during Rake It In, then beat my hands on the piano, and let me tell you, I felt better then I have felt in weeks....it's amazing. > great. Ok, she did another new song, i cant remember the name, its the > song about being in love with someone who kisses you and then pulls away > and leaves you sitting there saying "hey i want more". um, "i am in love > with you" is that the name? dont remember. I believe in Providence she said the name of the song was "I'm in love with you, at least for the moment..." It was an awesome song and couldn't have came in a better time of my life..That's exactly how I was feeling that night, and then she played that song...amazing huh? Ok sorry for being so rude, I'm Shannon and I absolutely adore Imogen....seeing her live was such an experience for me and I can't wait to see her again...please excuse me if I rambled on a bit, I had too much strawberry white zimfadel (is that how you spell it??) Well, anyways, glad to meet all you fans:-) *Hugs* Shannon ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 Apr 1999 11:40:57 EST From: Niecigirl@aol.com Subject: Re: [Imogen] CLEVELAND show In a message dated 99-04-02 04:06:52 EST, Hvnsnt20@worldnet.att.net writes: << Ok sorry for being so rude, I'm Shannon and I absolutely adore Imogen....seeing her live was such an experience for me and I can't wait to see her again...please excuse me if I rambled on a bit, I had too much strawberry white zimfadel (is that how you spell it??) I thought I would introduce myself, and get aquatinted with the list. My name is Eric and I am a 21 year old artist who lives in a small town in Northern California. On September 22 of last year, I found myself driving home from Sacramento- listening to Alice 97.3 out of San Francisco. The station was smothered with static, but I listened anyway because when you are from my town- any culture, whether it is popular or not, is a welcome addition to your life :^) One of the DJ's was interviewing an unknown to me singer/songwriter/performer extraordinar. Of course it turned out to be Imogen Heap. I was very intrigued with her voice, and her interview for that matter. The next day I went out and bought I MEGAPHONE. I searched for some information on her, came up with odds and ends- and a few middles. I saw in the Guardian- a weekly from San Francisco that she was going to play at the Cafe du Nord... and my sister informed me she was going to play in Sacramento at 815 L Street. So I have seen her three times performing, each time being better than the last. The other musicians I listen to are: Tori Amos, Jewel, Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morisette, Joni Mitchell, Laurie Anderson, Third Eye Blind, Fiona Apple, David Bowie, Matchbox 20, and too many others... My favorite song by Imogen is "Useless". I love her album so much I have bought eight copies so far to give away as presents to family and friends. Well I think that is enough blither from me- Tractors and wheaties, Eric phenom@inreach.com ^v^v^v^v^v---------- Such a price gods exact from song, to become what we sing. ------------------------------ End of wireless-digest V2 #64 *****************************
