Nelson, who was at the concert at the invitation of show opener Imogen Heap,
with whom Nelson jammed at the Rainbow Bistro on Sunday evening. It was the

Heap's set on Monday was reminiscent of a screeching Kate Bush in her bad-hair

Screeching Kate Bush in her bad-hair days? I'm not sure if that's a compliment
or not, seeing as I've never heard any Kate Bush, although I keep hearing
everysingledamn reviewer compare everysingledamn female singer/songwriter to
her.

But damn! I would love to hear Imogen sing the blues (or anything for that
matter :( ). That would be too cool. I wonder if she's got the voice for it...
like the "fire in the belly" or whatever. I'm sure she probably does. Her
voice is an instrument in itself.

And damnit, I am still waiting for one of my favorite ladies to cover Janis
Joplin's "Piece of my Heart". I think Fiona Apple would be especially good at
it, cause she can get that rough yell thing going on. I looove that.
