I think that it would be cool for us to catalog the existence of Imogen songs. We can start with all the "commonly" available stuff from the album, singles, and promos. Add in the 4 demos that people have been discussing here lately. These are all things that are available in recorded form (if in some cases hard to find). You can currently find these songs listed on various discographies. What I'm really interested in is songs that are a little more obscure than that. The following songs I only know of due to Imogen performing them: Foolish, Kidding, Pocket Sun, Flicks I've seen Imogen perform many times in the bay area, and she did all of the above songs more than once with the exception of Flicks. When she introduced Flicks she said she had just written it. I got the feeling from talking to her after the show that she was "trying it out". If she decided she didn't like it, we might never hear it again, and most of us might never know that it ever existed. And in fact I saw her perform three more times after this show, and she did not do it again. In addition, a friend in London mentioned a song she performed with band called: Dragon There must be piles of other songs that she didn't hasn't done in the US due to the lack of a band and difficulties in arrangment for voice and piano only. I was hoping that maybe someone who's already running an Imogen website, might want to put up a page where people can submit info about these rare songs. Simply titles and when they were performed and anything else one can remember, like what she said about the song while introducing it, how long it is, anything that can be remembered. Maybe even lyrics (heaven forbid). If no one else wants to take this up, I guess I could. We could start making submissions on the list. Anyone got any submissions? Comments? Suggestions? Unfortunately, I remembered the titles the day after the concert, but I don't remember them now. (Kev, do you remember what they were called?) It would be nice if the people who booted the shows would speak up and tell us of some of the songs that she played, which they recorded, that might be obscure. Anyway, I just wanted to say that it is a good idea. ~michaela~ _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? Hey all! Well, the new Wireless is coming along great! The whole website is completely redesign, with LOTS of new information. I think you guys will really like it... As for cataloging rarities, the discography will be for the discs :) And the lyrics section lists all of the known Imogen songs, and if lyrics are not available, the song title is in italics. I am looking for people that are willing to test the site. TEST the site, not get a sneak-peek, I will need reports on errors you find, things you think should be changed, thing you think should be added, etc.. If you are interested, please e-mail me personally. PS - Buffy is on in 9 minutes!! Dustin Shelby - formaljunkie@mindspring.com Imogen Heap Webmaster - - comign soon... Maybe even lyrics (heaven forbid). Drew - I think your suggestion is excellent! I'm gonna have an Imogen site soon and I would be happy to incorporate a section for these rarities there. The 3 times I've seen Imogen, she did Foolish, Pocket Sun, and Kidding but I've never heard Flicks. I'm going to see her next Wednesday at the Supper Club in Manhattan, maybe she'll add that in. ;) Nanikita ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Feb 1999 22:34:44 EST From: Nanikita@aol.com Subject: [Imogen] rarity....I forgot to mention Mutual!....she did Mutual too each time.
