And probably you'd want to use Joni notation as well as the letter names of the tones. When I first read your question, I only imagined you wanted to be able to hear the tones, not see the letter names. If what Ken says is true - that this Ipod thing (which I also have never heard of) is programmable/has a database, you ought to be able to do most anything with it. It seems to be obviously capable of working with audio files. I recently got a little device to connect my guitar to the computer and record stuff. Maybe I should make some sound files for the tunings? With a tuning file for each transcription, we could have a link in each file for the tuning used. Do you think people would be interested in that? Marian - ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: Susan McNamara Date: Thu, 3 Jun 2004 15:16:33 -0400 >Thanks, Ken. So it would be cool to have all the DADF#AD songs on one sort file without the capo, but still being able to see the capo position for each song. OK, so since no one seems to know what an IPOD is here, I can see you all shaking your heads saying "what the hell is she talking about?" Sorry, but I never get bored of fussing with this damn tuning list!!! :-) Marian, I love!! the idea of putting sound files on the tunings. Would it be clear enough to check to make sure we tuned it right? that would be cool. take care, sue >Don't forget to include the capo position!
