I always thought this was one of the most intimidating songs in Joni's repertoire to play but I'm having a lot of fun with it right now: http://www.jmdl.com/guitar/thepriest-jk-t.cfm Interestingly enough, this is one of the oldest tabs on the site. It sounds pretty dead on to me. It's a unique tuning DADGAE (D75527) meaning it's the only song on the site in this tuning. I guess if I was gigging I would place this song ahead of A Strange Boy... DACGAD ... one shift down on the third and sixth string ... and another "portrait of a disappointment!" Her portraits of these men are also dead on! I've definitely met both of them in my travels although my priest had green eyes. :-) http://www.jmdl.com/guitar/astrangeboy-hwmr-c.cfm Hope everyone in the States is geared up for American Masters tonight (9 pm, PBS). I'm very psyched. talk care, sue - -- "Heart and humor and humility will lighten up your heavy load ... I'll let you know when I try it. As far as the overhand bar goes, I believe that Joni uses this technique in Eastern Rain, too. I can't wait to see those old shots of her from '67 in the clubs. She was a well-oiled machine, even back then. take care, sue At 3:41 PM -0500 4/2/03, by way of Susan McNamara wrote: >Hi Guitarists - >I think this may be my first official post to the Wanderer list.
