Is that right ? If yes, what about the expansion ex the VG-8ex use all banks, the user banks too. After transfer a new patch to the VG8-ex would these sounds delete the user bank A + B or what must i do that i don't lost these orginal sounds, can i stored the new patches direct on the card and if so what must i do to have success. thanks in advance eric - -------------- To stop receiving any future spam from the VG-8 Users group : click here - --------------- To stop receiving any future email from this specific sender : click here - --- end forwarded text ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Aug 2002 15:06:47 +0200 From: M.Russell@iaea.org Subject: RE: VG-8ex User I'm sure that if you download a different set of patches into the VG-8, they are written to the user area and would overwrite anything that is there. To save your existing user area before you download something new, you can save the existing user area as a set of patches into a computer somehow, but I have never done this. I think Paz knows how to do this and may could explain it. Paz? The EX expansion is more actual guitar modals and more ROM (Read Only Memory) patches. The Memory card can assist you in organizing what you want to use. I suggest you save your original bank of patches to your computer or data disk drive and then load in your new sounds in the internal memory. Save individual patches that you like and will use to the memory card and then you can repeat the process till your card is filled up. If you go to VG-8.com you will find hundreds of patches in various formats including sys-ex.
