Wow, I didn't remember writing that but I know during those days I was completely obsessed with both Wally's site and the development of the guitar page. That was great to read again. At this time I'd like to point out for anyone who doesn't know, if you ever want indepth knowledge of Joni's career or life, read the biography section of the www.jonimitchell.com. I've read the Brian Hinton bio, Joni Companion and I'm in the middle of the Shadows and Light biography, but nothing compares to Wally's heartfelt bio pages, with the rare memorabilia, photographs and galleries. www.jonimitchell.com take care, sue >Cleary Sue is being far too modest ... one of the very >few posts to the original discussion list that _I_just_ >_had_ to save to my hard-disk was an extremely insightful >and scholarly "Master's Thesis on the Hejira Experience," >penned by none other than our lead Wanderer. Hi folks, I'm curious if there's any VG-8 owners who have made a patch that sounds very close or exactly like Blue Motel Room. The tuning is not the issue, I'm more concerned with the effect. To me it sounds like a Gibson blues guitar like Lucille or maybe a Chet Atkins style acoustic/electric. Any ideas? I haven't read anywhere about what guitar Joni uses for that song and I'd love to know. I've played lots of guitars that don't sound like the recording and it would be awesome to match it with the VG-8. Have a good one everybody!
