Hi Jim, I believe Joni plays electric guitar on this. Maybe you're on an acoustic. Elecs are easier to play than acoustics, with their heavier, higher-tension strings and (usually) higher action. That's my excuse anyway. And some chord shapes are harder than others obviously. Sometimes sitting to play makes it easier cuz I can brace my left arm against my body. All of this adds to the challenge. The NRH songbook gives the tuning as CGDFGC. Could've been a typo, except some of the printed LH chord shapes don't work with CGDEGC.
