Thanks > > Paz > Here's a couple of direct links to Hugh Blumenfeld's 'Guitar Workshop' articles on the Ballad Tree site - first, his basic introduction to alternate tunings (and why) at http://www.balladtree.com/folk101/g_002a_tunings.htm and his 'Musicians' Resources - Guitar - Links' at http://www.balladtree.com/links/musicians_guitar.htm I also tried to look around the site mentioned in his 'Independent Luthiers Online' section http://www.balladtree.com/articles/010522a.htm where guitar makers can display and give info about their work. Anyone, apparently, can upload a listing and photo - no charge - but the site listed at http://besides.ipc.ru/vgg/ is either down at the moment or has moved to a new URL - anyone know? Sadly I failed in my attempts to make a dulcimer a while back but enjoy looking at (and dreaming of owning) well-crafted guitars - I have my "luvly" Martin 00018 - but have my heart set on a particular Santa Cruz model I tried in McCabe's in LA last year - probably long gone (to a good home, I hope). All the very best Paul ------------------------------ End of wanderer-digest V1 #34 *****************************
