I like your painting. The orange/yellow sky is nice as it is reminiscent of the Clouds album. You've got my interest perked. What are your plans for the sound bytes? For example, if you had a conversation about a CGCFCE tuning, you could click on it and hear the strum. Of course this would depend on whether the person doing the strum was in tune! Plus I guess recording may alter the tone. You could get a good idea of what the tuning sounds like, but do you think it would be accurate enough to tune your guitar to it? Yet again, a sketchy situation!! :-) Les also thought maybe making separate sound bytes for each string may work, too. Then you would combine those sound bytes to make each tuning. Comprende? Just some ideas to throw out. I still have no idea how to do it. thanks, sue >Nice Spot Sue. I like your painting. It would probably be best if one person did all the sound bytes with the same guitar to keep the sound similar and if you have a keyboard close by you shouldn't have trouble keeping the tunings accurate. Normally, from my experience, you don't' have to worry about the digital recordings changing the pitch as no tape or motor is used, as some tape decks do change the pitch just a little irritating bit. If you do each string separately with a separate link for each string so that you can keep rehitting it, it should be easy to use it to tune your guitar. It does sound like a lot of work though How many tunings are we looking at here? Sketchy?
