Subject: Re: vicious-thorn-digest V7 #5 I'll second the Veda Hille recommendation -- her music isn't for everyone, as she tends to play around with odd chord structures, time signature, etc., but I think it is absolutely _beautiful_. I can't choose a favourite album, but I know many people would recommend _Spine_. (Just an aside: If there are any Veda collectors interested in trading shows, I have a copy of a performance she did on the CBC in September; just email me off-list.) The now-defunct Perfume Tree is a band I'm just getting into, but if you're into trance/electronica/dreamy lush work with gorgeous vocals, try them I only have _A Lifetime Away_ and _Feeler_ (working on getting their catalogue). The former has more defined, 'normal' song structures, while the latter is more ambient (to my mind, anyway -- I don't know much about the genre). There's my contribution to the wishing well. - -e _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8.
