Help me, Kristy fans, you're my only hope! I've got a brand new car and a 6 disc changer and nothing to listen to. I need new music! But I'm so out of it that I have no idea what to listen to, what great new stuff is out there. So throw some ideas my way, so I can hit the used CD store, m'k? Think like so: Portishead, Mazzy Star, Poe. Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Smiths. Kristy Thirsk, Rose Chronicles, Delerium. :) Let me know what you've got. I (and my ears) would greatly appreciate it. They're kinda hard to find, but I suspect you'd like 'em. You also might like the Sneaker Pimps - they're worth checking out. Hmm. Tara MacLean is cool. In fact, she opened up for The Cure on tour a few years back. Oh, and Shannon McNally's pretty decent, too. Or Tori Amos, or Sarah McLachlan. D'oh! Go to http://www.darlingvioletta.com and check 'em out. I still need to check out their latest release, but their Kill You EP is one of my 10 essential CDs. I have two Tara McLean cds. I can't really listen to her much. When I do, I end up listening constantly day after day, and then I find myself at the bottom of a black pit of depression. It's weird. I saw her a couple years ago, right after the second album came out. She played 3 back to back shows (for free!) at this tiny basement bar here in Portland. It was awesome, she was soo good. I went to two of the shows. :) I will have to check out the rest of that. Except Sarah Mc. I'm Sarah'ed out. Love Fumbling, the rest didn't do anything for me. ~Mindy~ >From: "Jason Donahue" >To: >Subject: Re: Hey >Date: Tue, 28 Jan 2003 23:43:21 -0800 > >Mindy, > >Check out the group Love Spirals Downward.
