I mean, how often do we discuss only RC, really? I should also add that it's quite refreshing to find a discussion forum devoted to such a (dare I say it?) obscure musician, and I laud Lawrence for having the good taste to set it up. 2) The Unofficial Delerium List - I joined this one mostly for the sake of my page, as discussion of Kristy does come up here from time to time. A great one to join if you're into any of the Fulber/Leeb projects, and enjoy intelligent posts. 3) Magazine (Jesus Jones) - Yes, they're still around (sorta) and their music is about so much more than "Right Here, Right Now." I've been a huge fan of this band since high school, and have them to thank for getting me out of the "if it's not top 40, it's crap" rut. (Yeah, one of their albums was a hit, but before and after that they were, IMO, a lot better.) Some really smart (and funny) people on this list, especially Mike Edwards, the band's singer/songwriter, who contributes occasionally. Fun Fact: Rose Chronicles once opened for Jesus Jones when they played Vancouver. Odd pairing, but cool. Oh and John N, Tara's somewhat sappy, but quite talented too. - -- "Not Listed on 'Babynames.com'" omicron ____________________________________________________________ "Though this be madness, yet there is method in 't" -Polonius / Hamlet: Act II, Scene II http://www.geocities.com/~voxweb VOX - The Web's first Kristy Thirsk fan site ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 31 Mar 1999 19:19:12 -0500 From: Michael Curry Subject: Re: [V-Thorn] List your lists At 10:19 PM 3/30/99 -0500, John Nogueira wrote: >I'm into a lot of artists but I am only fanatical about a select few. >This shows in the e-mail lists that I'm subscribed to. Ecto is where I first heard about Rose Chronicles. precious-things -- the moderated Tori Amos discussion list, which I'm co-owner of. dream-gasoline -- a list devoted to the amazing Emily Bezar words-and-guitar -- the Sleater-Kinney mailing list trajectory -- a list devoted to another great Canadian artist, Veda Hille IRTRAD-L -- a musician-oriented list devoted to traditional Irish music I might also be on a couple of others (does the Suddenly, Tammy! list still exist?) that have just been really quiet for long enough that I've forgotten about them. If it wasn't for the range of disussion on ecto I'd probably be on a lot more lists. :) Mike | Michael Curry / mcurry@io.com / mcurry@smoe.org | | http://www.io.com/~mcurry | | "Am I bitter?
