If it's any consolation, I've recently included a review I did a while back of Kristy's Bulldog Cafe show performed on May 30th of this year in VOX's Communication section. I've seen Kristy twice before, once at the afore-mentioned Bulldog venue, and once at The Brickyard in Vancouver, and if those shows were any indication, I'm sure her Railway Club show was great. - -- omicron ____________________________________________________________ Ever heard an angel weep? http://www.geocities.com/~voxweb VOX-The web's first Kristy Thirsk fan site ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 07 Nov 1998 22:21:53 -0500 From: John Nogueira Subject: CBC RadioSonic Greatest Singers of All Time - Kristy takes 2nd Thanks to all on this list for e-mailing CBC to get her nominated. Responding to my own message here to let you know that Sarah McLachlan finished first. They played Do What You Have To Do. Perhaps if I hadn't mentioned it to the Sarah list, Kristy would have finished first. But who knows how many from the Sarah list sided with my choice for Kristy and helped out the count. It isn't often that the Rose Chronicles get played across the country so I was curious about the song that RadioSonic chose to air. You know -- it's actually a fine choice to highlight Kristy's voice to those who may be unfamiliar with her. I haven't thought about what I would have played in a similar situation yet but it was a good choice. What would you have played? What's more important is that we got Kristy played across Canada (!) and dare I say the world (!!) since the show goes out over RealAudio. Pat yourself on the back. Never underestimate the power of our little mailing list. First we take Canada, then we take Berlin. Thanks again for replying to my request.
