Now that I think about it, have you ever read the lyrics to 'Flowers Become Screens' or 'Incantation'. IMO, I think they're awful. However, Kristy's voice practically saves the day--not to give her all the credit, Delerium creates great music, not lyrics, mind you. I will also agree on 'Flatlands', as that's probably the best song on 'Semantic Spaces'. I was also very glad Delerium gave the singers the freedom to write the lyrics on 'Karma'. My favorite Thirsk songs? That is tough. I would have to think about it for about 2 hours to answer. SOme things come to mind, though. I love the transition in bottle song where everything picks up pace at once. It fills me with so much energy that I want to sing along. Of course, I can't. And I worship the part in Krayon where the guitar starts strumming and Kristy starts to sing. It's another part that fills me with joy. But, I can tell you all of my LEAST favorite song. It is Shiver. There is no singing at all, and it is very short. I do love to scream at the top of my lungs, and I cannot think of a better song for it. I have no idea what it is about. I can't even remember all of the lyrics at the moment, but I know they mostly have to do with meltimg a yellow Krayon. I don't know any of her songs except for the two RC albums and Karma by Delerium. Past Krayon, I think that my favorites are Awaiting Eternity, the Bottle Song, and Deidre. Actually I think Deidre is my second favorite. It has a much wider tonal contrast than the majority of the songs. Wisdom is my favarite from Karma, but I cannot say that I have thought about it being about suicide. Hi Jason. The song's great, but I wouldn't get the soundtrack just for the Kristy Thirsk track. Some of the songs on the cd are not to my liking, but you might like different things, so I don't know. There's a Sarah McLachlan song on the album, "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy", but it's not a new song. The song "Heavens Earth" is great. I just love the way Delerium works with Kristy to produce these wonderful songs. In this song I find myself captivated by Kristy's sensual voice and lyrics. It makes me wonder who she is singing to, and all the while wishing it was me! Wonderful. Beautiful! Like all of her songs! Like most of Delerium's, too. I hope they collaborate some more. God, do I! One more thing. On "Heaven's Earth", I love the part where you can hear Kristy's voice in the backround, starting at about 7 minutes. You must listen to it NOW!
