My brother is on the Cure's mailing list and they're always talking about the music and I keep thinking, 'why can't we do that?' About 'Wisdom', it does kind of sound like a poetic suicide note, except for the end when she sings 'So coming down I'm very thankful (you were there)'. To me this sounds like the suicide wasn't quite carried out, unless maybe the 'you' refers to the option of suicide, or even God. I don't know. I totally agree with Jason that Kristy's music would still be amazing if the lyrics were no good, but they are good. I think the wails in 'Flatlands' and 'Visions' and the haunting chants in 'Sensorium' show how brilliant her music can be without lyrics. Anyway, even though I know it's really hard to choose, I thought it would be interesting to know what everyone's favorite songs by the Rose Chronicles/Kristy Thirsk are.
