For those of you who like instrumental/atmospheric shtuff like the crow sountrack (is the second one the same or was it just me) Peter Gabriel's sountrack for "The Last Temptation of Christ" is reeeely good (no pop -> sort of alternative/world music). It's called Passion. Now the biggie. I read an album review in the Globe one day a year er two ago on Perfume Tree's "A Lifetime Away" The review said the singer sounded like a cross between Sarah Mclachlan and some sort of Kristy Thirsk character -so naturally I go out and bye it that day. The album is like a cross between delerium and R.C. It has an R.C.ish guitar and an 'etheral' vocalist- though you can hardly make out the words her voice melds with the other instruments and creates a RC/deleriumish atmosphere. (It's just damn good.) give em a shot if ya like, they shouldn't dissapoint stay sane - -liefcifer (sorry fer the semi-epic ergh) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Sep 1997 19:31:19 -0400 From: suspiria@earthlink.net Subject: Re: (fwd) I have "A Lifetime Away" by Perfume Tree. Excellent CD. I HIGHLY recommend it. They (supposedly) just came out w/ a new EP last Tuesday. I have yet to see or hear of it anywhere, so no review on that one...maybe it got pushed back??? Anyway, check it out...it's really good. They also have a few other releases out too...but seem difficult (at best) to get. Let me know what you guys think of it if you decide to give it a listen.
