Or maybe I find myself absorbed by it I'll put this link on my website next to the other link Erik Honore sent that leads to the same setup elsewhere. So people have a small amount of choice on the matter. I'm presently busy saving up my pennies to buy couple of the Velvet Belly albums to send to my internet acquaintence David Lynch. He told me that he would listen to them, he loves music in a very special way himself. People I know think they ought to be his kind of thing, I hope that they're his kind of thing, then I'd try to quote him, but that might end up breaking the bandwidth restrictions on my unofficial site. yours sincerely Dom ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Jan 2002 13:18:07 +0000 From: Wmmvrrvrrmm mvrrrmvrrrmmmrrvvvv Subject: Re: [VS] Anne Marie Almedal project with Jan Bang & Erik Honor =?ISO-8859-1?B?6Q==?= > I'm presently busy saving up my pennies to buy couple of the Velvet Belly > albums to send to my internet acquaintence David Lynch. Still, at least they interviewed Evan Johanssen, aka Magnet / Libido - -----Original Message----- From: Wmmvrrvrrmm mvrrrmvrrrmmmrrvvvv [mailto:wmmvrrvrrmm@mac.com] Sent: Monday, January 14, 2002 1:18 PM To: velvet-station@smoe.org Subject: Re: [VS] Anne Marie Almedal project with Jan Bang & Erik Honor i > I'm presently busy saving up my pennies to buy couple of the Velvet Belly > albums to send to my internet acquaintence David Lynch. There were 22 people clicking in to recent news page last Wednesday. Although normally its about 3 to 6 people a day these days. About a couple of weeks ago, there were about fifty over a space of three days. I hope that they sort out an official website soon. If people soley rely on my website, I'm going to have to check the text I've written about fifty times because I keep making the biggest type errors missing out important words like "not" and "no longer" I think it's a question of getting new people to know about these things all over the world. There are all those people throughout the US and Canada who sat right through to the end of "Love and Sex" still waiting for Velvet Belly to manifest. Had I known that David Lynch actually did bother to take note of these things that were sent to him, I would have sent him a couple of CDs a good while back, but I might have sent him Minidisc recordings back then and he doesn't have that kind of player but I think maybe the time to think about it being now is possibly just the right time, and the present seems almost timelessness. Lynch is the sort of person who likes Cocteau Twins and Laurie Anderson in a big way, he likes Portishead too and this world of music is not so far away. He also likes Bjork, He also revealed a few days ago that he was part Swedish, so maybe he will have some definite Nordic sympathies. For me to think about these things, it is like walking amongst giant mountains that extend beyond my mental horizons. I seem to be pulling myself through worlds here that have no actual definition, and I wonder what kind of impact on that surrounding reality I'm supposed to successfully assist Hmm, I'm going to remember those last few lines. I'll tell you something right at the beginning of this year, I had Velvet Belly's music going through my head in a much more powerful way that it had been for a while, so the good news that has come is half expected as something to manifest at the end of the crescendo of something in my mind that was building up I'm going to send David Lynch an Anja Garbarek CD as well > Also - have you seen this week's issue of the NME music newspaper - there's an >article in there about Norwegian music, only they seem to have forgotten that >they actually wrote an article about Velvet Belly long before the likes of >Kings of Convenience and Royksopp came onto the scene....and how come no >mention of Poor Rich Ones either (even though > their album's just been released over here)? Still, at least they > interviewed Evan Johanssen, > aka Magnet / Libido I saw the NME, read the article because there was no sign of certain names so I put it down again. It disturbs me. Maybe someone ought to hand out photos of William the Hut with only one other band member to fool people into thinking PRO is a duo. I suppose someone ought to write to NME pointing this forgotten thing. Holes have to be made in those blankets that they're covering everything up in.
