Hard to describe the sound, but maybe a bit like the Cure and the Smiths. He has released the record by his own without record company involved, has got much air-play and has got some good reviews. You can download his music for free from www.dimbodius.com Thought maybe you would like it! /Stefan ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2001 16:41:08 +0200 (CEST) From: Yngve Hauge Subject: Re: SV: [VS] Norwegian music On Tue, 3 Apr 2001 Wmvrrvrrmm@aol.com wrote: > In a message dated 03/04/2001 13:33:11, stefan.granbom@socmed.gu.se writes: > > >I didn't like the two Velvet Belly-cd's much, but i have only listen to > >them once. > > It took me a while to get into these two Cds myself. You have to remember that Colours was a close to live recording with the songs ready already before they did start the session. It was done in 3 weeks or so, if I don't remember it entirely wrong. That would explain the somewhat rougher and harsher sound to them. They are both lovely though and the first one is still probably my favorite album of theirs with Flower being my favorite live song. It was so amazing when they did put The Landing and Flower together at one of their tours. - -- Yngve Ecto Guide to Good Music - the best source for great music http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2001 15:20:21 EDT From: Wmvrrvrrmm@aol.com Subject: Re: SV: [VS] Norwegian music In a message dated 05/04/2001 15:42:12, onealien@mo.himolde.no writes: >You have to remember that Colours was a close to live recording with the >songs ready already before they did start the session. I'm sure that's why it made me think about the way I experienced them at a gig.
