I'll try to find out though. And if it has been used on TV or an advert in England, I've never heard it. Meanwhile I'm going to put up some of my snapshots and shaky looking photographic blurs that I took at Velvet Belly gig in the Monarch in London, on my website over the next couple of days. I had a slightly weird coincidence today, I got the photos back today and at the place where I scanned the photos, a woman was there with a similar patterned dress to the one that Anne-Marie was wearing at the gig. I'm sure that I've never seen the woman wear that dress in all the years I've known her, I'm not sure why she had a reason to dress up like that today. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 May 2000 19:47:08 +0200 From: Philippa.Demonte@bmg.co.uk Subject: [VS] 'Easy' Hi everyone Adam, you're right - 'Easy' was used for a furniture (!) commercial in Sweden back in '97. As far as I know, it hasn't been used on any other commercials, but 'Easy' and 'Trick' also featured on a CD-rom game called 'Blackout' around the same time. The game was only ever made available in Scandinavia, despite plans originally to make versions in English, German and French (the company that made the game got taken over, and then they decided that the technology used in the game was too outdated, so the versions in the other languages were never made). Dominic - can't wait to see your photographs from the Camden Monarch gig. I've got a film to get developed too (I've just got to use it up). Have you seen the latest copy of Music Week magazine? On page 33 - Dooley's Diary - it says: "...One night later BMG Norway act Velvet Belly put on a blinding performance - their first UK live gig - at The Monarch in Camden. Among those witnessing the ethereal wall of sound proceedings were BMG International A&R guru Nick Stewart......" Anyway - I gotta go - our computer system is about to go down for maintenance (oh joy!) btw - Yngve - isn't it your birthday soon???? - Philippa - > -----Original Message----- > From: Yngve Hauge [SMTP:onealien@mo.himolde.no] > Sent: 02 May 2000 16:52 > To: Velvet Station > Subject: [VS] hehe ... strange > > Hiya, > > that last mail wasn't intended to end up here, but when it did I ask you > people that question Adam did (he is a new VB fan on Ecto). I know that I took a few of us around the room, maybe I'll put them up late. The one's that had the flash in them made the stage seem colourless, and then the ones without the flash look colourful but blurred, or lightly shaken, some have the most marvelous painted look to them as if Rolf Harris has splashed paint all over a wall to paint the scene! You can click on each one to get a larger version of each, near 200kb, popping up. It may take a while to download the main page, I'm not too sure, because I use an ISDN line and a 56k modem which are a bit quicker than quite a lot of peoples modems. http://www.geocities.com/velvet_belly_uk/monarchgig.html ------------------------------ End of velvet-station-digest V3 #38 ***********************************
