With regards to the Bellysphere recording, Velvet Belly themselves have asked for the release to be held back, since they are going to be starting work on a new album within the next few months. In the meantime, they've just played some gigs in the BeNeLux (Netherlands / Belgium), and tonight they're going to be playing at the Camden Monarch in London (UK). The gig is going to be recorded for broadcasting at 2 later dates over the internet, firstly on the Student Broadcast Network (www.sbn.co.uk) and then on ChannelFly (www.channelfly.com) - as soon as I know when this will be, I'll send out another note to Velvet Station. Gotta go - but I'll tell you how tonight (and yesterday in Brussels) went tomorrow....if that makes any sense? - fLip - > -----Original Message----- > From: Igor V. His actual wife who used be a Sigourney Weaver lookalike, and is a singer, once did some work for BMG. I'm trying to work out if there's something to be interpreted as if this is all a symbolic event occurring. One friend of mine didn't know what time VB would be on, but came very very late after having had dinner in Camden, and well luckily VB were starting quite late, and he managed to catch the last train to his home station although that train service usually stopped much much earlier, otherwise it would have been a heavy taxi fair for him to pay so fate guided him pretty well in getting there and back home afterwards in one piece. At the bus station on the bus station, I found a shiny new penny on the floor which I'm going to assume is a lucky penny from now on. So I'm going to view the synchronicities occurring around this evening as being harmonious, but with some mixed reflections spinning around. My friends enjoyed it so so much, three of them had not heard any of my VB CDs at all but had been told about them endlessly by me, and one of them wondered how a CD could live up to the excellence of the live performance, he decided to label it as progressive rock. He expected something much more light weight from what I had described to him. The friend who had heard their music from my CDs before seemed to be very much dumbstruck by the whole thing. And so once again Anne-Marie was very beautiful and her dress was very lovely with a rose pattern on a dark background. She had moved towards a warmer image perhaps, rather than the mysterious image that seemed to exist within those past concert photos. I enjoyed seeing her holding the bells in her hand, these things can stir the thoughts. It was beautiful to be a witness of this Monarch event and to say hello to the Velvet Belly group, and indeed I had a great amount of fun saying hello to Philippa Demonte in the physical world too! The whole thing held for me a childlike sense of wonder I once had when touching ornaments hanging from a Christmas Tree, but it's not Christmas, and at the top of the tree it's the planet Jupiter and not just a star , let alone a fairy. I think tonight, for some reason, I'm going to imagine taking a trip to Jupiter, the planet that's the bringer of joy, out in the cold depths of space and I'll imagine listening to Velvet Belly somewhere out there. For some reason in my mind the two seem to merge together. I wonder where my mind will drift then, but I think it will stay happily in orbit....
