The other day I came across the Norwegian Easy-single. :) It was on sale at Free Record Shop at Stovner, Oslo. Of course, I would have bought it even though it wasn't on sale. :) Elin - -- "I can never understand why Londoners fail to see that they live in the most wonderful city in the world." -Bill Bryson- elin@rmta.org http://www.crosswinds.net/~elings/index.html ICQ# 44669538 ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2000 08:57:53 +0100 From: "ElinS" Subject: Re: [VS] 'Easy' single on Virgin's CD lists > Someone interested in giving me a hand doing a webpage with general > info for this list? It will be set up at smoe.org I assume (I'll have > to ask Jeff about that though) I'd love to. As you know, I have a scanner, and and love making webpages, so helping making one for this list would be fine. :) Elin - -- "I can never understand why Londoners fail to see that they live in the most wonderful city in the world." -Bill Bryson- elin@rmta.org http://www.crosswinds.net/~elings/index.html ICQ# 44669538 ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2000 11:51:56 +0100 From: Philippa.Demonte@bmg.co.uk Subject: RE: [VS] Yupeeyayeah! Hold on to that version, because the international versions will be different. The Dutch one is almost the same as the Norwegian one, except that the original version of Easy has been replaced by the Boilerhouse radio edit. The one for the rest of the world will have a different cover and only have 3 tracks: Easy (Boilerhouse radio edit), Unreal, and Tree At My Window (from the Window Tree album) > -----Original Message----- > From: ElinS [SMTP:elin@rmta.org] > Sent: 07 January 2000 07:55 > To: Velvet Station > Subject: [VS] Yupeeyayeah! > > The other day I came across the Norwegian Easy-single. :) It was on > sale at Free Record Shop at Stovner, Oslo. I think my interest in websites is to give them an open ethereal ambient feel. I'll have to start to see if I can work on a look for one, and see what the rest of you might think, you might not like it, but I'd love to give it a background of beautiful ethereal colouring that their music produces in my emotions. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2000 14:06:53 EST From: Wmvrrvrrmm@aol.com Subject: Re: [VS] 'Easy' single on Virgin's CD lists Does anyone know what the colours of the belly of the Velvet Belly shark look like ? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2000 20:14:05 +0100 From: Philippa.Demonte@bmg.co.uk Subject: RE: [VS] 'Easy' single on Virgin's CD lists Yes....well, sort of. I went to the London Aquarium once to try and find a shark book with a picture in it. It wasn't a very good photo unfortunately - it's like a 2ft long cat fish, but it's very dark in colour normally because it lives so deep under the ocean. According to the book, it secretes a kind of green slim, which is what makes the Velvet Belly's stomach look like the aurora borealis (northern lights). > -----Original Message----- > From: Wmvrrvrrmm@aol.com [SMTP:Wmvrrvrrmm@aol.com] > Sent: 07 January 2000 19:07 > Cc: velvet-station@smoe.org > Subject: Re: [VS] 'Easy' single on Virgin's CD lists > > Does anyone know what the colours of the belly of the Velvet Belly shark look > like ? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2000 22:25:30 EST From: Wmvrrvrrmm@aol.com Subject: Re: RE: [VS] 'Easy' single on Virgin's CD lists In a message dated 7/1/00 7:14:41 pm, Philippa.Demonte@bmg.co.uk writes: >According to the book, it secretes a kind of green slim, which >is what makes the Velvet Belly's stomach look like the aurora borealis >(northern lights). > Well, that sounds just beautiful ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2000 22:25:32 EST From: Wmvrrvrrmm@aol.com Subject: Re: RE: [VS] 'Easy' single on Virgin's CD lists > tried to send an e-mail to Velvet Station with an attachment and it bounced back, so >please forward this to anyone else on the mailing list I've left out (and tell me who) Wow! Thanks a lot for the photo. It certainly shoves a glimpse of the real world beyond the arty photos. ------------------------------ End of velvet-station-digest V3 #1 **********************************
