Don't ask me. I joined last week so I don't know :) Yngve: do think it is possible that we have VB: on the subjectline on every mail that is posted on this list? I get a lot of mails, but I only read the most interesting ones and I don`t want to miss mails posted on VS. It`ll be much easier to have VB: first on the subjectlines, cause then we`ll see right away that is a mail to Velvet Station. Does it sound like a bad idea? I`m thrilled that Velvet Belly is playing in Oslo on Wednesday!!! I`m so excited! I don`t know what to do to make the next two days go faster... Are anyone of you going to Mars on Wednesday? I would love to meet you! Off course I'm going to the concert. I wouldn't miss that (I bought my ticket a month ago) Anyway, I`m sure we`ll have plenty of time to have Velvet Belly - gatherings in the future! np: Window Tree np : Radio1 (Mellissa Etheridge right now I think) Have any of you experienced problems with updating the official VB homepage lately? Whenever I`m trying to see if there are any new entries on the guestbook, all I see are oooold messages from like a month or two ago. Something is wrong... I tried it today and there were no problems as far as I could see. The latest message was from yesterday so I believe it works fine. I`d like to learn something about every person on the list in the future, such as when you first heard Velvet Belly, how many concerts you`ve been to, favourite song/album and why you think Velvet Belly rocks your world! Hmmmm... When I first heard Velvet Belly. I'm not sure but I guess it was around the time of the release of Window Tree that I really noticed them. And I've been to 4 or 5 Velvet Belly conserts , mostly at the Quart.festival but also misc. club-conserts in Kr.sand. My favourite song is the title track from The Landing. And to finish of this thing, Velvet Belly rocks my world because they play great music with a lot of variation in it. Each time you listen to an album you discover something new. And their music has a special kind of mood over it. (I can't quite explain that one further though). And off course, they are from Kristiansand (a little local patriotism there :) ) And that concludes my answers for today, maybe I can tell you a little more some other time ! I think we should have a birthdaylist around here, Yngve!! Here's mine : 03. October 1974. Off to work... Tine That's all for now.. Hi you all :) I heard Velvet Belly the first time at the Quart Festival the Summer of 1993 at the Quart Festival. I read about them in Rock Furore (before it was destroyed by Puls), and as I just had entered the realm of female vocals I was eager to hear anything new. The concert was in an old hall out on an island, and the weather was fantastic. We got a summer house out on Flekkeroeya so we could go there by boat. Besides an amazing concert I met some really nice people as well. Later that year they released the first release of Window Tree (with one of my alltime favorite covers). Why I think they are the best thing on this planet? First of all their music is just so fascinating. You just can't get enough of it. And second they are such nice people. But then - aren't all Ecto artists nice? :) - -- Yngve ------------------------------ End of velvet-station-digest V1 #7 **********************************
