Hey everyone, a friend wrote to me about Veda's show in Toronto so I thought I'd share with y'all. Hey clare, Last night, Jane and I went to see Veda at the Rivoli. She was freaking amazing. Although I prefer to see her solo, I really appreciated the band's input to Killzone. She played many new tracks from the new CD, Silver. I trust that you are going to see her in Winnipeg. I wrote out the song list (some I don't know the name so I have used some lyrics to identify them) for you so that you can anticipate the goodness that is coming your way: Poison plant song Nostalgia (new) Birdcall song ("here sweet sweet") Killzone (amazingly hard version) song about disappointment (new) 2 songs from an upcoming musical about Paul Martin (they were very funny) Song about a snake ("serpentine, reconnaisance, act crazy so they don't follow us") Working (absolutely beautiful) Noah's Ark Williamsberg bridge Bulgarian folk song (new) Who will protect them (new - thrashy) Intermission new song Meeting the group of 7 (instrumental) Hearts 15 years Yukon Ho Ponybride "love is not strong enough, we must be stronger than love" Invisible (a song by Greg McPherson). In the middle of this song she did a cover of "Just what I needed" by the Cars Instructions Nunenberg (new) Bedlam (new) Another song about Paul Martin - Planck's length "Violent boy, Violent girl .... do I sound starving / bitter" Slumberqueen Stars (new) Encore songs Particular value "I'll take care of you, I'll take care of you, I'll take care of him myself.
