Yay!!! _Silver_ was a wonderful surprise. I had no idea what to expect -- all I knew is that it is what she did for the Vancouver Folk Festival this year, and that was it. Well, it's by turns brilliant and hilarious, even hilariously brilliant. The pastiche of lyrics from classic folk songs (called, I believe, "Do You Know This Song?") is great ... and the revamped version of "INSTRUCTIONS", in which the "instructions" are a recitation of the rules of the Festival ("One: Pick up your trash. Two: no booze here...") is absolutely hilarious. I've only listened once, so I'll reserve comment on the new stuff until I've had time to absorb it more. I'm also not all the way through _Auditorium_ yet, so I'll wait until later for that as well ("With No Caring" with horns!!! ). But for now, I wanted to let everyone know that if you haven't already ordered _Silver_, do it *now*. She has less than half of the run of 500 left, and believe me, you don't want to miss it! ============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth ============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://www.smoe.org/meth/muzak.html ============================================== ------------------------------ End of trajectory-digest V6 #41 *******************************
