I wanted to add that the other performer on June 12 is Sini Anderson of Sister Spit. She and Veda are really excited to share this evening together so it should be a night of great energy. And for those of you further down the coast line, Veda will be at The Temple Bar in Santa Monica, CA on June 5. More info to come. Great news! For those not familiar with Rose Street House of Music, it is a private home offering frequent house concerts (sometimes 3 or 4 per week), and is very intimate (40 people max). You leave your shoes at the door, and the venue is "scent free". >There's not a lot of information on the venue's web site, >but I put a link to it on the Trajectory news page >(http://www.smoe.org/meth/news.html). There will not be much information on their web site for awhile because the women who produce the shows (and live there) are on tour until April 22/23, but I can describe a 'typical' show there: 1. There are no advance tickets, you usually pay $10-20, sliding scale... you decide what you can afford. 2. Evening shows usually start at 8pm on Fridays/Saturdays, and 7:30 on other nights. 3. They do not advertise their address, since it is their home, but they are located on Rose Street (hence their name), near Martin Luther King Blvd, in Berkeley... their phone number has further info 510/594-4000 ext MUS but remember, they are currently on tour, so if you leave them a message, it's unlikely they will reply until they return home. More info to come. Yay!! I wasn't going to be able to make it up north for the Berkeley shows, and probably not even for the Santa Cruz show. But I will definitely be at the Temple Bar. I saw Kris Delmhorst there a while back - it's a nice club, and a good venue for a Kris or Veda type. It won't be anything like Gabah, that dive-y thrash club that caused Veda to swear off Los Angeles for good! - -Lori ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2001 20:32:40 -0400 From: meredith Subject: Re: Veda mention from hmv.com Hi! That's kind of funny -- wasn't the whole thing recorded live last December? Has anyone who ordered it directly through vedahille.com received theirs yet?
