There is an interesting contrast of Veda Hille with and without her band. The Oasis show Veda played entirely on her own traveling through all her albums in two full length sets and creating a strong sense of beauty. I don't think much in my life will come that close to perfection. In the most recent Rivoli show she had her band with her this was a great show, but lacked the intimacy of the last show. I guess I was spoiled;) I enjoyed them all however. And being able to see her often with her new album has allowed me to explore it fully. Take Care, Martin ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Oct 1999 00:41:18 -0400 From: "rachel stone" Subject: veda on someone else's album I took up the overwhelming task of sorting through my stereo area and discovered an interesting CD that I had no idea I owned...Michael O'Connell's "Brand Spankin'." The CD is quite good, with someone interesting production and some excellent guitar as well as a few appearances by Veda Hille on piano. There's even an instrumental called "Hille Butter" that features her and her lovely piano. Don't know anything about this guy other than that he's Canadian and that the album came out in 1997. If anyone knows more about him, please e-mail me personally because I'm suddenly very curious. Just thought I'd add this to the growing list of other people's albums that Veda's on.
