And let us all know how it was. :) Fantabulous, indeed, as it's part of the pseudo-annual Women On Stage festival at the West End Cultural Centre (www.pangea.ca/~wecc) which has an excellently abstract line-up for October 22-24. Oct. 22 - Jane Siberry (solo with a grand piano) Oct. 23 - Veda and the band Christine Fellows (who is like a cross between Kristin Hersh and Lisa Germano with more art-folk-pop-darkness and a definite Veda edge) Kathleen Edwards (a 19 year old with incredible percussive guitar, oddly satisfying vocal twists and a violin...although apparently she can't do all three at once) Oct. 24 - Katherine, Cate and Crowe (featuring Cate Friesen, who has had Veda on her albums in the past and has just put out an excellent album that is far beyond anything she's done in the past...also includes Susan Crowe and Katherine Wheatley) So if you're in Manitoba, get to this weekend (as it's also a benefit for the Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre, which is nice). Every performance of Veda's at the WECC have been brilliant, intimate and incredible. Rachel ------------------------------ End of trajectory-digest V3 #88 *******************************
