Some of you may recognize him as the guy who wrote "Cold Missouri Waters", recently covered by Dar Williams, Richard Shindell and Lucy Kaplansky on the Cry, Cry, Cry album. Anyway, Veda Hille plays piano on the album (amazingly as usual), and is even credited at the end of the album. It's kind of neat--James introduces each of the players and they give a 10-second solo. First time I've heard something like that on a studio album. The piano isn't real prevalent on all the songs, but the first track, Sweetgrass Moon, is quite beautiful.
