     And even more importantly, when will Veda stop playing the hideous
     Mercury Lounge?!  As I told veda myself earlier this week, the Merc
     doesn't have enough character to be a dive (though "firetrap" comes to
     mind), and not enough ambience to be enjoyable.  I know some of you
     out there have a fondness for the hole, but it truly is one of the
     least appealing venues in NYC.

     But, of course, I'll be there.  I'd be there if she was playing the G
     train at 3 in the morning...sigh.
