In a small theatre, not a smoky bar, acoustics were perfect. Oh Susanna, Veda and Kinnie Starr individually playing their own sets, plus sitting in with each other. What a treat. I don't know all the song titles, but it was a mix from Spine, Path of A Body and Here is a Picture. Crowd was appreciative and applauded Veda when she walked on stage to begin her set. Veda said she hasn't been used to that. Veda rocked; it's amazing how she simultaneously played these aggressive complicated piano licks while layering her gorgeous vox on top. She jokingly said she chipped a nail just for us. There was a nice moment when at the beginning of Veda's final piece, she broke a guitar string and suffered a minor finger cut, she slid back to piano and rocked out an old Jackson 5 number, "Give me just one more chance".
