As JeffW pointed out that's the Talking Heads classic "Once In A Lifetime". I wasn't aware she'd performed it live prior to the CB's Gallery show back in May - that was a definite surprise, and one of the highlights of the set. Apparently she learned a whole bunch of weird cover tunes when she was on that island in February (including a Jackson Five song, I can't remember the title of it but it's their real big famous hit that wasn't "ABC"). Gotta love arts grants. :) >Also: Does anyone >have any Veda Hille songs chorded/tabbed out? If so please email me. I'm not a guitar player so I can't answer this one with a yes, but I would be interested to know if anyone has figured out the tabulatures how they did it with all the weird tunings she's come up with. Seems to me that would make it a real challenge! +==========================================================================+ | Meredith Tarr meth@smoe.org | | New Haven, CT USA http://www.smoe.org/~meth | +==========================================================================+ | "things are more beautiful when they're obscure" -- veda hille | | *** TRAJECTORY: the Veda Hille mailing list *** | | *** http://www.smoe.org/meth/trajectory.html *** | +==========================================================================+ ------------------------------ End of trajectory-digest V2 #67 *******************************
