Howdy all: had the good fortune to get a "heads up" about veda on WFUV in New York this afternoon...I heard about it just in time to pop my headphones on and listen. The interview was great--not much "new" news, though another song from the upcoming "Here Is A Picture" CD. Veda said that she'd hoped to have the CD ready for sale at the Bottom Line show tomorrow night, but there was a manufacturing defect and they all had to be returned! So we've got a wait ahead of us...damn! Veda sang "seasoned", "slumber queen", a song from the Emily Carr cycle that I hadn't heard before (and missed the name of!), and "Three"...backed on all by a bass and drum kit. Sounds as though her recent European tour was successful--though she mentioned that it had had some severe "ups and downs"...and she recommended a particular Austrian laundromat... I'll be at the Bottom Line tomorrow (early show) with a friend or two...hope to hear y'all there!
