This just in from Time Magazine: A review of a biography of Peter F. Oswald called _Glenn Gould: The Ecstasy and Trajedy of Genius_ As an FYI, Otswald was a pyschiatrist who wrote bios of other famous arts folks, including Nijinsky but he was also a friend of Gould. Why is this relevant? Well as I am sure you all know, Glenn Gould was a Brilliant (capitilzation intentional) classical piannist. He retired from concert play at age 31 but continued as an essayist . If you like classical, particularly Baroque music (and yes Dan, I realize that Bach falls into that category but I will let it slide this once), then you should check out Gloud's interpretation of the Goldberg Variations (yes, Dan, also Bach). Anyhow, Veda Hille lists Gould as an influence in her music. yada yada yada much love, Kat ------------------------------ End of trajectory-digest V1 #26 *******************************
