I took a business trip to Illinois this week, and for once I rented a car with a tape deck when I actually had some tapes with me. One of those was "Songs About People And Buildings", which I really hadn't paid close attention to before now. It's different, it's definitely a much younger tone and sound, but it's still very very good. I took advantage of the "repeat" function (I had no idea tape decks could do that!) and got to know "Laine" really well. I think that song ranks up there with "Precious Heart" and "26 Years" in terms of gorgeous factor. Yow. I'd be interested to know what Veda thinks of those old songs now. Has anyone heard her perform any of them live? I know "79 Rose" is on the _Women In (E)Motion_ disc, but that's all I've heard. +==========================================================================+ | Meredith Tarr meth@smoe.org | | Boonton, NJ USA http://www.smoe.org/~meth | +==========================================================================+ | "things are more beautiful when they're obscure" -- veda hille | |***TRAJECTORY, the Veda Hille mailing list: trajectory-request@smoe.org***| +==========================================================================+ ------------------------------ End of trajectory-digest V1 #25 *******************************
