But I think that Mount Washington has got an incredible ending and that Ted's Waltz is just pure magnificence...and if it were to ever be released (which I very much doubt) has got all the ingredients to finally bring Beth some well deserved commercial success. But that will probably never happen. We chatted a bit about the CD and I played her bits of Paris Train and Anywhere. And I e-mailed her a bunch of info about Beth's other albums and a couple of websites for more info. She loooves the Chemical Brothers so I pointed her towards Trailer Park, along with Daybreaker. And I'm gonna direct her to the Beth tracks on C.B. CDs. Woo-hoo! I love introducing people to new music. :-) Yahoo! No info on ticket prices yet... So, L.A. folks can see Beth two nights in a row if they have the $$. :-) :-) :-) And she's doing a free gig in Reno on the 17th... "Paris Train", "Mount Washington" and "Ted's Waltz" are as one reviewer put it "jaw-droppingly beautiful." In comparison, only one song off of Central Reservation drew my attention on first listen ("Stolen Car"), though I grew to love the whole album after repeated listenings. I've not heard the entirety of Trailer Park or SuperPinkyMandy (though I've heard several tracks off of each), but I'd say that Daybreaker is her finest album yet. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Aug 2002 00:47:26 EDT From: Thenameisnick@aol.com Subject: New Album Mmmm....personally her finest so far. The song that grabbed me the most was "This One's Gonna Bruise." And I really like "God Song", although the outro with Adams is a bit much. Mount Washington is incredible. It seems like she sings with a little more strength on this one...More certainty. I definitely think this albu will be on my high rotation for awhile. ------------------------------ End of trailer-park-digest V3 #69 *********************************
