There is a very good article on Beth in the July/August issue of alt.country magazine No Depression. It is rather revealing, with Beth talking about her mother's death and how she was an orphan at 19. She also has this to say about how the title DAYBREAKER came about: "I put DUSTY IN MEMPHIS on and listened to it and watched the sun come up. Lovely. It was beautiful. That is a daybreaker to me. You know, when you are a bit off your nut, the sun is coming out, and you are listening to the most incredible music. That is pure joy to me." I think we can all relate. In the same issue is an article on the return of the great Linda Thompson. Her first recording in 17 years, FASHIONABLY LATE, will be released July 30. I like the idea of her and Beth coming out on the same day. Alan Rockville, MD (still 15 miles from Washington, D.C.) Sign up for SBC Yahoo!
