But, let me also add my most sincere apologies. Apparently a few people have been understandably bothered by the numerous posts to TP regarding superpinkymandy. If you are among those who could care less about the server, I am truly sorry. But I hope that this will help relieve all the future posts of "does anybody have SPM." Now the answer should be unanimously "Yes!" And now we can start talking more about Beth and her work, tours, what she ate for dinner last night, her adorable sun glasses, etc. RE: >Hi Sean, >thanks for 'not' mentioning me in this case, >but i hope you understand now why it took so long >to get the cd to you... I definitely do, and I didn't post your name because I wanted you to avoid unwanted solicitations. You were obviously already backlogged. As I mailed you privately, thank you for helping us out. >if you would have told me earlier that you can put >up the damn thing as an mpeg this would've saved >a lot of time... Sorry about that. I should have told you before receiving it, rather than after. But at least it is getting around now. And RE: >From: Matthew Blackmon >For anyone who would like to acquire a copy on CD, please email me >directly with SPM in the subject. Way to go! That's what it is all about. Thanks for taking the time to pass it along. There are a couple people who are having trouble with the server, so perhaps they can bounce over to you. Now..... does anyone have the original CD that would be willing to scan the cover for us? Or could you contact me privately, and we can discuss photocopies or whatever. I could scan the cover on my own, and distribute it. That way we can give everyone some pretty artwork to accompany their burned discs. Any help acquiring this would be greatly appreciated. I would host the artwork, or there is someone else who will be posting a web address shortly who may also post the art. Thanks. What do you all think of perhaps hosting some live performances? Does anyone even have live Beth? I would certainly love to get my hands on a few. I would be happy to serve a show for everyone again. Or we could set up some trees a la the Phish/Dead/DMB/SCI fans. I would really love to hear and/or distribute more Beth, especially since I have never had the priviledge of seeing her live. I have been a huge fan since TP was first released, but only recently started thinking more about acquiring the live recordings. I guess CR left me wanting more, and the PBS Sessions were amazing. Anyway, thanks to everyone for the support, and good luck with the rest of the downloads. If any of you would like to trade other stuff, e-mail me. I love music in general, so I am open to anything. I am spending more time at home right now, because my wife and I just had our first child (a three week old son), so I have a little more time to play in between changing diapers. Beside, being an attorney is kinda lame and pretty boring anyway. Fatherhood and trading music is far more exciting. Now her vocals on the track stand out like dog's balls (infinitely more beauty than dogs balls, but it's just an expression you know!) It just took more listens. I'm not dissapointed anymore. NOW, ATTENTION MELBOURNE INDIVIDUAL MR KAISER TSOSE!! You're in BIG TROUBLE! You were supposed to warn me about Beth Orton on Sessions @ West 54th. I was on IRC lastnight and heard from a girl "oh, the beth session has been" "BEEN!?!" I said. FUCK! I don't have PayTV. Mainly on ethical grounds i.e I think pay television is the devil incarnate. But I would have found somebody to tape it for me. If I HAD HAVE KNOWN! grr. And what about the other Australian's on the list. Surely one of you could have warned us?? I personally live in L.A. and I don't know if the same show airs on the west and east and everything in between, but a nice li'l warning would be great. I remember a repeat awhile ago and I was all set to watch it when I realized it was on the nite before...When they listed it as 12:30am, Saturday I didn't realize it was late Friday nite. stupid ------------------------------ End of trailer-park-digest V2 #237 **********************************
