You can listen to the track at http://www.kcrw.org/music/cd.html in RealAudio or RealAudio. The LiquidAudio (not sure about the RealAudio) quality is much better than what's in the full MBE appearance in the KCRW archives so it's a real treat if you've got some way of recording it for playing offline. I had no idea she had actually been played on the show, I just thought she'd fit in well with the type of stuff I've heard on there. I've only seen about 2 or 3 episodes, mainly just because I was never home when it was on, but now that it's on Sundays I'm planning to watch weekly. And hopefully hear more Beth! Hey, did anyone see 'Stir of Echoes' with Kevin Bacon? Great movie, I really recommend it. Anyway, Beth's song "Spotlight" is in it, near the end. Go Beth! She's only one degree away from Kevin Bacon! I'm new to the list and a Beth Orton fan. I caught Dido's show at Philly's "5 Spot" about two weeks ago and was favorably impressed. Some of you would recognize her voice from tracks of her brother Rollo's band 'Faithless.'(I'm also a huge Faithless fan.) While her live show was enjoyable, it was in no way comparable to Beth's. Beth has a much more compelling stage presence and seems to be much more serious about her music. (I've seen Beth Orton live seven times.)I think Dido is much "fluffier" than Beth Orton, which is o.k. Sometimes one needs a little "fluffy" music. :) I look forward to seeing how Dido's music matures. I think she has a promising future. On a more serious Beth Orton note, does anyone know of a source for "Superpinkymandy," Beth's initial released-in-Japan-only album? I'm dying for it.
