Hi, just thought I'd pass on some info. for those fans living in the states. Beth will be on a repeat of Sessions at 54th Street this Sunday night. Check your local PBS listings for a time. ceri ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Aug 1999 22:38:23 EDT From: NHHStudent@aol.com Subject: Re: beth tabs? I had the opportunity to see Aimee Mann in both Philly and New York this week. I suggest that you run, don't walk, to your favorite record store and pick up a copy of her debut solo record from 1993, entitled 'Whatever'. At the NYC show, Central Reservation was played before Aimee's set, in its entirety. Don't know if that was Aimee's choice.....or the club's choice. Aimee's new album should come out very soon. I think it was Aimee's choice, or maybe her husband Michael Penn's. She plays several shows a month at this place called the Largo Pub here in LA. Kinda like a residency or something. I saw her last month, on my birthday, and before she went on, they played some Central Reservation tracks there as well... along with, what else did I recognize? Ron Sexsmith, Radiohead and the theme song from That Seventies Show. I thought it was pretty cool, too. They seem to have good taste. I've been a fan of Aimee Mann for longer than Beth, since I saw her play in a cafe bar in Camden Town (London). You could also check out some of the old Til Tuesday stuff, but personally I don't think it's as good. S.P.P.P.
