He is a perfect gentlemen, a fact which I know first hand - as he & I had some dealings over some CD's recently. I must therefore assume, you are another whinging pom. Not upset about the ashes, still - are you? Does it really matter? I see mail from the list with headings, without headings, with weird headings (that node stuff passed me by) - so I hardly think two messages with no headings is cause for concern. Many email programs won't allow you to send without a subject, and I use subjects as one criteria for filtering for spam. If a post is blank, it goes into my "possible spam" folder. It only takes a moment to add the subject line. I'm not sure if I agree in the way the original poster phrased it, but I do believe that it is important to include the subject line. Perhaps Keith can configure his mail program to warn him when he forgets. Again, I agree, Keith is a gentleman, and I have no desire to attack him. ObBeth: Picked up "Someone's Daughter" Australian CD single this week, a nice find in a used CD bin. Only five dollars American. :) - -- Jon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 08 Jul 1999 10:54:00 +0800 From: Keith Yap Subject: Beth Orton List- Erm, first, I really don't wish minor things like subject headers to cause more discord between us here in the mailing list. This has been a wonderful mailing list with one of the most mature crowd ever. I dun know whether my using no subject headers bother many people that much, but well, since it's a form of Nettiquette (or is it?), I shall use it to prevent any more unhappiness among us. And er, Untruth or Neil, sometimes, all you probably have to do is ask nicely. It certainly won't sound too nasty or hostile. Well, I guess that's Ettiquette. Please refrain from making personal attacks on the list. If you have a problem with someone's conduct, please address it to the person in question. If that course of action fails please bring the matter to my attention and I will take appropriate action. Thanks!
