'Fraid I don't pay attention to what modes a song uses unless I try to play it (and I've never tried any Beth...too lazy, usually learn songs from tab). As far as what they're more to do with...well, anything musical uses a scale or mode of some sort. Singing can be done in any of the modes, as can any musical instrument. Well, that was about as clear as mud *G*. Maybe it helped, though.
