The high profile producer is close to completing the as-yet-untitled record, due for release in April 2002. Record label bosses claim the forthcoming record is completely unique despite its fundamental pop backbone. "Based upon what I have heard so far, I think the record will be something extraordinary", said a spokesman for the BMG label. Orbit moved into the realms of superstar producer following his work on hugely successful albums, including Blur's '13' and Madonna's 'Ray Of Light'. The renowned producer is not new to recording his own music having recently released an album of classical interpretations, 'Pieces In A Modern Style', as well as his work on dance project, Bassomatic.
