I think it was a bit old as some of the interview bits seemed very familiar to something i read online. It was just her and another guy, i can't rememebr his name sorry. She played Central reservation then an amazing version of Galaxy of emptiness. How can someone make 2 chords so perfect, it still had that trancy feel of the album version but had so much more feeling. After a short interview which showed how human and 'untouched by the big scene'she is she playedBlood red river. Thats proberbly my second favorite song (after deveil song),but who can chose. While singing her eyes kept drifting up and it was like she was in that zone that i go to whenever i hear her music. After that she did She Cries Your Name, the only song thatdoes nothing for me anyway and I felt it had less impact as an accoustic song. She introduced it as the song you may know and its the only film clip ive seen of hers. I guess its her big hit. I dont know, in Australia i dont remeber it ever being on air. Stolen Car got a bit of JJJ airplay but that was it. I'd like to know how she was introduced to the rest of the world. It also like to see some other film clips...but in Australia...Well, tell him he's dreaming She finnished of with I wish I never Saw the Sunshine. God that was perfect. She does it so well and it means more to me because its a cover and she makes it her own, her voice faltering at the most perfect moments. Shes either a great actress or just feels the music/lyrics so much that she cant help but give it that feeling...I go the later. Does anyone know about the guys who wrote it. I got into terry callier through beth so i'd like to 'discover' the writers of that song. To the people in the rest of Australia I hope they show it soon. Write to channel 9 and find out whats going on. Hell, this is more imortant than HIH. If they dont I invite you all over to my place wher the video has been on constant repeat and Im sure will be for a while Well if you've read all that I'm impressed tara then Steve - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nicholas" To: Sent: Wednesday, 30 May 2001 10:19 Subject: Beth TV false alarm? > Hey all, > > well last nights Australian feature of Beth Orton didn't go ahead, as far as > I know. I've got the tracks from Napster, perhaps someone can help me. I live in the UK, has this been shown here lately, and is there any way of getting a hold of it? Has it been commercially released, or could anyone make me a copy? So does Ariane. We don't get 9, we get win. How much does it suck? Do we get Sale of the Century anymore? Nope. That's why it sucks worst. No sale make Niko made. Maybe in a few weeks. Btw, that other band was Bela Fleck and The Flecktones. Very cool. Best bass player in the world. They have a banjo, bass, sax, and electric drums and they're absolutely amazing. I'm glad i saw it actually. Highly recommended. - ---- Niko Backwards Wollongong, NSW _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/ ------------------------------ End of trailer-park-digest V2 #57 *********************************
