I think I've raved about the captivating Kathryn Williams on this list before. I've seen her twice in the last month accompanied by a cello and both times it was absolutely spellbinding. Imagine Beth playing Nick Drake covers at a Mazzy Star convention and you'd be somewhere near. Jaw droppingly beautiful. She has three releases in circulation - Fade 4 track EP, Dog Leap Stairs - debut album and Little Black Numbers the follow up album released last week. www.fishrecords.co.uk has a real audio player soundbite of 'Soul to Feet' from Little Black Numbers on it's site at the moment. They probably stock her back catalogue too. I don't know of anywhere else with sound sample clips. I imagine it will be very hard getting hold of KW cd's outside of the UK as she releases them on her own 'Caw' label. cdnow et al have them but at costly import prices - I imagine it would be cheaper ordering from the UK even with the postage charge.
