OLY is only available through emm's website, and science fair through the website and in stores in canada. some of the songs on "public" are catchier/poppier than how they appear on leap year, or in comparison to some of her other songs. but i love that. and then there are also songs on that record, like "acid" and "this mad" which are so simple - just emm and the piano. and there's this haunting beautiful quality to them. the order i got them is public, science fair, the original leap year. which i think is fine. my favorite is science fair because it seems to really highlight emm's voice and it's very raw with sparse instrumentation. i have a hard time comparing them because i think each has its own beautiful qualities. buy any or all. preferably all. and go see her live if you can. she is an AMAZING performer. i can't rave enough about her. dana - -- Dana Wagner University of Pennsylvania, Class of 2000 http://www.sas.upenn.edu/~dwagner * "music is the best solace to a troubled mind, for by it is peace and refreshment restored to the heart..." - martin luther ------------------------------ End of trailer-park-digest V1 #89 *********************************
